The Vila Recife Albufeira is one of our favourite Albufeira Budget Hotels. The hotel offers good clean basic en suite rooms and a swimming pool which is sheltered from sea breezes, in it’s own little sun trap and generally suitable for a winter season swim provided the sun is shining. Ideally located above the old town, there is also a “secret garden” sunbathing spot with sea views, located on your right hand side as you go down the road towards the town. The Vila Recife provides easy access to the main beach, which is down a few steps and under the tunnel.

The main square is best reached by turning right as you leave the hotel, and going down the hill.

If you are looking for good “local” food at reasonable prices, turn left at the foot of the hill and you will see the restaurant facing you on the left handside of the road.

Built in 1968, this hotel was renovated in 1980 and offers a total of 92 rooms spread over 6 floors. Facilities include a lobby with a reception desk, cafe and swimming pool. Located in the centre of Albufeira close to the shops, restaurants and bars. Also within close proximity to the airport.

Faro airport is located 30km away and links to public transport network found nearby to the hotel. There is now a new bus system within Albufeira which uses mini buses to enable better access around more of the narrow Albufeira streets.

Buses connect to the new main bus station which is located outwith the old narrow streets. From the main bus station you can catch a bus to the railway station and coaches to destinations around the Algarve, Lisbon and Seville Spain.

Facilities available within the Hotel include a freshwater outdoor swimming pool with sun terrace and sunbeds, a games room, TV room and the nearest golf course is located about 5km away.

Facilities also include a lobby with a reception desk offering currency exchange facility, a cafe and a bar. Laundry service is also available.
