Huelva is the capital city of the province with the same name in one of the lesser known costa the Costa de la Luz. This is the area of Spain that borders the eastern Algarve region of Portugal so you can just as easily reach here using flights into Faro airport as well as Jerez, Seville, Granada or Malaga. The 4 star Ac Huelva Hotel by Marriott may not be your first choice for holidays by the sea, but the coast is not too far away and there is plenty of countryside to explore in addition to a visit to the cities of Andalucia. Modern hotel with comfortable clean rooms with a good buffet breakfast. Located about 20 walk from city centre, but there is a bus (number 4 – Euro 1.10.) which takes 10 minutes. Carrefour and Mercadona are within walking distance. Car hire is recommended.
