Forte Village Resort is set in a spectacular private estate which spans 55 acres of centuries old pine forest and extravagant gardens in the district of Santa Margherita di Pula, just over four miles from Pula’s village centre. Approx. 45 minutes from Cagliari airport.
With 21 restaurants open during high season, food is a particular highlight, always beautifully presented offering a wide choice at every meal and including dishes from all around the world. In the evenings the Piazza Maria Luigia comes alive as guests sip cool drinks, enjoy the evening entertainment or wander around the boutiques. The dining options are seemingly endless with a wide range of international cuisines from Brazilian to Indian. Three Michelin starred chefs have their own restaurants at Forte Village Resort, including the British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay (restaurant open July and August); Rocco Iannone, purveyor of traditional Italian cuisine (restaurant open mid- June to early September); and new is Alfons Schuhbeck’s Spice for Life. There is also a Forte Gourmet cooking school, directed by Rocco Iannone, where guests can learn to prepare delicious traditional Italian fare.
Alongside the many academies mentioned there are many more excellent children’s facilities for all ages available at Children’s Wonderland. Young guests can join a number of creative workshops where they can learn to play musical instruments, cook pizza, learn Italian or create their own work of art. The resort features a children’s restaurant where youngsters can enjoy their lunch and dinner; and there are also regular children’s shows at the Piazza Maria Luigia. For those aged between 12 and 17 there is a U-Club teens’ club, where teenagers can enjoy both water and land sports. For children 2 years old and under there is also a nursery.
The Acquaforte Thalasso Spa is one of Europe’s top spas and a member of ‘The Leading Spas of the World’ group. It is an exclusive health and beauty centre based on the ancient thermal pools from the nearby 2500 BC Roman town of Nora and offers a Thalassotherapy spa, six outdoor heated pools with added minerals, sauna and Turkish bath, an impressive gym and massage and beauty treatments at a charge. Specialists are also on hand to advise you on the best way to enjoy the Thalasso. There is a bar serving healthy fruit juices and herbal teas.
