THE FLY DOWN
For guests making their own travel arrangements or taking the option of booking flights through ourselves you can choose to arrive from the Thursday onwards. Thursday night and Friday is free for you to enjoy the secluded resort of Mandelieu with its private marina and a selection of excellent restaurants including the 2 Michelin star l’Oasis. Cannes is just 5 kilometres away and is an excellent way to while away a few hours. A drinks reception will be held on late Friday afternoon by the hotel pool when you can meet up with your felllow guests.
To make the most of your Monaco weekend why pack into the public grandstands with everyone else? With Wildside you will be watching from a private yacht exclusively reserved for our group in the prestigious Monaco harbour. This really is for the privileged few. A quick wave of your special pass and it’s through the checkpoints and restricted access areas by the F1 pits and along the quayside to the Wildside yacht. As an added bonus - time your arrival right and the chances are you will be incredibly close to the cars as they complete their pre-race warm-up. Crowding is not a problem as we limit numbers to just forty five people so there is plenty of room on board. The bar is open and drinks are free all day. Mid morning snacks are offered followed by a superb gourmet lunch with wines - served and finished with ample time before the race gets underway.
The yacht is moored in a superb spot at Tabac corner (see circle in photo) a matter of feet away from the track. You will have a close up uninterrupted view at one of the best corners on the circuit as the cars brake hard from the straight after the chicane before powering off down to the swimming pool complex. Although you are right up close to the action it’s vital to keep in touch with what’s happening around the track and the harbour’s giant TV screen opposite the famous tunnel chicane will keep you informed throughout the race.
Wildside also have available a limited number of boat viewing only packages available. See the prices page for costs.
MONACO GRAND PRIX WEEKEND
FRIDAY
After arriving on the Thursday, Friday is free for you to relax around the swimming pool at the Ermitage, cruise into Cannes or just take it easy. We will be gathering for drinks that evening before an excellent dinner at a top restaurant in Mandelieu which is of course all included.
QUALIFYING - SATURDAY
For Saturday we can offer as an option viewing from our yacht to watch the F1 qualifying, GP2 race and support races. There will be a simple lunch served on board plus a pay bar which is open from 10.00am. Alternatively, spend the day lazing by the hotel pool, watching and being watched as you stroll down the Croisette in Cannes or venture into Nice – the choice is yours. If you are in Monaco then stay on and spend the evening – the town is your oyster… Try your luck at the Casino’s gaming tables, have a beer in the famous Tip Top Club (the scene of Mike Hailwood’s baton battle with the police and Graham Hill’s underpants dance....) right next to the track as it runs down toward Mirabeau or just go people watching and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Monaco the night before the GP.
RACE DAY - SUNDAY
Having returned to the hotel and got at least some sleep....It’s up for breakfast and then jump into the pre-booked transfer vehicles which will take you into the centre of Monaco just a few minutes from the quayside and the water taxis which will take you to ‘your’ yacht.
The transfer time is 45 minutes from hotel to Monaco and a far more civilized option than taking the train! As you stroll down to the quayside via the stands and stalls why not take a drink or two at a bar before catching the start of the day’s action. For the uninitiated, this Grand Prix really must be experienced. A uniquely heady atmosphere fills the Principality on race day and the sound is genuinely phenomenal! The sound of modern day F1 cars is amazing at the best of times but within this tight, built up area it takes it to another level. Quite astonishing. After the race we will be heading off to Stars 'n Bars which is the team's favourite hangout, positioned right by the paddock area. There's time for a few drinks and snacks before we are transferred back to the Ermitage. The rest of Sunday night is free.
On the Monday you are free to depart to return home. The hotel is around 15 minutes from Nice Airport.
THE HOTEL
The hotel we use for the Monaco GP Tour has been our base for the last seven years. Unlike (dare we say boring) modern Hiltons or Inter-Continentals they offer a unique blend of comfort, hospitality and ‘Frenchness’; with plenty of character and style but please don’t expect the usual modern city international format of 59 satellite channels on your TV, 24 hour room service and 12 robots manning the reception desk! The Ermitage du Riou is in the exclusive and small beach resort of Mandelieu Napoule with a fantastic location right on the yachting marina and the bay of Cannes. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and this classic style mansion house is extremely comfortable and stylish combining antique furniture with the modern facilities you would expect of a four star hotel. There is secure parking at the residence and a Michelin recommended restaurant plus a small outdoor swimming pool and terrace. Parking is secure in the hotel’s courtyard.
This is package represents excellent value. Our full Tour including 4 night’s 4 star hotel, GP viewing from private yacht with open bar, gourmet lunch and wines, gourmet dinners, drinks etc., costs from £2290.00.

Monaco - The most popular Grand Prix of the year.
It's unique setting ensures Monaco's number one place on list of major sporting attractions in the
sporting calendar
It has style, glamour and a long reputation as the most prestigious Grand Prix of them all.
The Grand Prix circuit (normal roads for the rest of the year) winds
its way through the streets, from Ste Devote it goes uphill to Casino
Square, then plunges back down to Mirabeau before heading back into the
Loews hairpin.
The tunnel that leads to the harbour side chicane echoes
with the roar of the massive F1 engines.
Qualifying often throws up a few surprises which always adds excitement to that first corner dash to Ste Devote.
Monaco Formula 1 Experience
Year round, Monaco is a spectacular place, but
when you combine it with the most popular F1 race in the
world, the experience is unimaginable.
For well over 50 years the Monaco Grand Prix has been regarded as the most
prestigious motor race in the world, and with the Principality
of Monaco as its backdrop it is no surprise.
Not only is this the biggest race event of the year, it is also the grand
social event of the year.
The streets are lined with expensive sports cars and the harbor is jam-packed with dozens of boats,
all vying to be part of the world`s most glamorous grand prix.
Monaco definitely lives up to the hype that has surrounded it
for many years.
The Mediterranean Sea provides a perfect setting for the most
celebrated grand prix event, and one that you definitely
not miss in 2007.
Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix 2008 tickets
We recommend that you buy only grandstand tickets otherwise you may find it difficult to see the cars.
The main grandstands are located in the harbour, with many of the hotels and other buildings doubling up as viewing areas for the week end
Some of the other Grandstands are only accessible by boat.
Tickets for the 2008 Monaco Grand Prix can Now be purchased on their own (Limited
supply) Online via this website.
